In the Area
On February 28, 2024, the National Weather Service surveyed an EF2 tornado in Grand Blanc, with estimated peak winds of 115 mph. It tore part of the roof off one home on Westminster Circle and lifted part of the roof of another near Moonstone Drive and Brookview Drive. If your home sits near those streets, look from the ground for lifted or missing shingles, damaged garage doors, and trees that fell onto the roof.

Questions
We offer roof repair, roof replacement, siding, window replacement, deck building, storm damage repair, and siding repair.
Look from the ground for broken or missing shingles and loose or bent flashing. In the EF2 tornado of February 28, 2024, the National Weather Service reported that multiple large trees came down, some of them onto homes from Old Bridge Road to Stonybrook Drive.
Yes, a trained spotter reported a damaging thunderstorm wind gust just north of the city on March 30, 2025, with 8 to 10 inch tree limbs and power lines down. After wind like that, check the roof, siding, and gutters from the ground for limb strikes and debris.
An amateur radio report put 1.75-inch hail 2 miles northwest of Grand Blanc on July 3, 2012, and later that day other reports nearby listed 1-inch and 0.88-inch hail. That storm is 14 years old, and a roof that was already on then is worth checking from the ground for dents and missing shingles.
Homes covered by the Woodlands of Grand Blanc Homeowners Association use an Architecture Review Form for a proposed alteration or addition, which asks for the materials, dimensions, and colors involved. The association can approve the change, approve it with a stipulation, or disapprove it, and an approved alteration has to be finished within one year of the start date. The form, which dates from 2006, 20 years ago, says the property is also subject to county and township rules.
